Hello, I’m Dr. Remington. I’d like to introduce myself to you. I love what I do. Each patient walks in the door as a stranger with a unique set of concerns about their smile, but when they leave after treatment is complete, they have become a member of our extended family, with a smile they can be proud of and share with others for a lifetime. I enjoy the challenge of putting together the individual pieces of the puzzle that will take that patient from start to finish with a beautiful smile as the result. The best moment for me is the big smile I get the day the braces are removed. We record that smile in a photograph and it goes up in our smile center.
Our office is designed to offer excellence in a comfortable setting. Located in a lovely circa 1875 building in Guilford’s Historic District, we are a boutique practice offering the newest technologies with a home town feel. Dr. Remington is dedicated to creating a personalized experience for each of our patients and works one-on-one with them and their families to make sure that from start to finish, everybody keeps smiling.
When you enter our reception area, you will be greeted by name by Patty, our office manager. This is also where we show off our smile center and our door of fame where articles, photos, and awards received by our patients are posted. We offer a selection of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, muffins, and seasonal cookies to make it a little easier to come in for your appointments and carry on with your day. When you enter our treatment area, our orthodontic assistants, Lorraine and Cheryl, will make sure that each patient’s concerns are addressed at every appointment. We stay current with the latest updates in techniques, equipment, and technology by attending local, regional, and national meetings together as a team. We are a very tight knit group.
I grew up in Lewisboro, New York, and attended Kenyon College, where I met my husband, John. We spent four years in Washington, D.C. while I attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry and two more in Chicago while I completed my orthodontic residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. I have been lucky enough to have lived, raised a family, and practiced in Guilford since 1990. John and I have three children, Alyssa, Ian, and Connor, and Alyssa and her husband Matt have three children of their own who we adore. When I am not in the office, my number one priority is my family. John and I have purchased a fixer upper that we are enjoying renovating. When I have a little time to myself, I play tennis, tennis, and more tennis. I also love making jewelry for friends and family, reading and being active in a book club that I started, hiking, and traveling. I look forward to meeting you!
