Who knew??? Now that masks have become de rigueur, you can find just about anything you want on a mask… cartoon characters, designer logos, floral designs, sports teams, etc. They can be made to match your outfit, or your mood… but the most important thing about masks, is how well they work.
A recent CNN Article, reports on a study performed at the Duke School of Medicine in which masks were tested for their efficacy.
The best performing masks were the N95 masks (14 above), as one might expect. Procedure masks (1 above) and home made masks (2-10 and 13 above) also performed well. Neck gaiters and bandannas (11 and 12 above) performed the worst with neck gaiters actually increasing the number of respiratory droplets.
