Our ClearCorrect Superstar, Melissa S. is back again…
Month One:
Month Two:
Month Three:
One again the changes are subtle, but evident. What you may also notice are the small “bumps” attached to some of Melissa’s teeth. These are called engagers. They allow the clear aligners (trays) to attach more tightly to certain teeth to make specific types of movement.
Q & A with Melissa S.
Q: Do you notice the changes taking place in your teeth?
A: It’s hard to actually see the movement, but I know it’s happening because when I get my new trays, they are snug, and when I come in for my next visit, they have loosened up. This lets me know that my teeth are moving.
Q: At your last visit, we placed engagers on your teeth. The engagers are added to teeth to allow the trays to work harder in specific ways. Did they impact you in any way?
A: Yes! I am super sensitive where my teeth are concerned. They don’t bother me at all when my trays are in, but I don’t like the feel of them against my lips and cheeks. The good news is, that if I needed another reason to keep my trays in, this would be it!
Q: Anything else you think prospective patients would like to know?
A: Don’t leave home without Efferdent! It is the only thing that really gets my trays clean.
Thank you, Melissa. We’ll check in with you next month.
